Hundreds of turtles are hit by cars each year. A large majority of them do not survive, but for the ones that we can save, we will use all resources available to make that happen! K2C partners with other specialized non-profits like Blue Ridge Wildlife Center, Animal Education Rescue Origination (AERO) and the Wildlife Rescue League to ensure the best recovery chances are possible.
The most common turtles that are rehabbed each year are the Woodland Box turtle, the North American Snapping turtle and Eastern Painted turtle.
